CLASS DESCRIPTION: Herbal medicine can be remarkably effective for many kinds of pain including headaches, cramps, muscle and joint pain, nerve pain, and first aid for injuries. Although there is no “herbal Advil” there are herbs for specific types of pain, so the better we understand when to use each herb, the better we can help. This class is taught by special guest teacher and dear friend, CoreyPine Shane from the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine.

In this class, we will cover the five basic categories of pain and the herbs useful for each type. We’ll talk about the three stages of inflammation and what herbs and therapies to use at each stage of the process, as well as covering some basic assessment skills so you’ll know what questions to ask.
